Controversial topic: If you read the health, fitness & bodybuilding magazines, there's a bit of disagreement as to what to eat before & after exercise. Most everyone agrees not to eat anything "heavy". And hydration is important too. There's disagreement when it comes to timing of post-exercise protein but chocolate milk is the latest darling as a combination of carb & protein. Try to include protein in every meal.
