CT scan: Sounds like treatment is appropriate if no displacement. Ct scan can evaluate healing process. A bone stimulator may also help with healing. If no x-ray evidence of healing at 3 -6 months than surgery is indicated.

Get bone stimulator: I would request a bone stimulator to speed up the healing process of the missed fracture. Try using exogen for the brand of bone stim because only need to use 20-30 min per day. See this video about it http://www.Youtube.Com/watch?V=a2mox5njboi&sns=em.

Appropriate: Continue cast immobilization with nonweight bearing and check again 3-6 months post-injury for avn by ct or xrays. Recommend and agree with previous comments on supplements with vitamin d and refrain from smoking.
