Took 0.25 xanax (alprazolam) daily for 10 day. then 4 days on 0.125 mg. yesterday when skipped a dose, it gave me bad effect. how to wean off it. is it addictive?

Xanax (alprazolam) and Addiction: Xanax (alprazolam) is almost a perfect drug. Except...It can be very addicting and very difficult to get off of once one is addicted. But, given your story it may not be that hard as long as you can get through the few days as your brain gets back to normal. It sounds like you are doing the right thing. Another day or two off of xanax (alprazolam) you should be feeling normal or better.

Psychological issues: Although the taper plan that was described should usually work, you have to consider that one can develop dependency both physical and psychological on this class of medication. You may need to deal with the psychological issues
