A member asked:

Is the def of myopathy relative or absolute? e.g. a football player who normally lifts 35lb can now only lift 8lbs after meds, but is otherwise f(x)al

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Myopathy : Means a disorder of muscle function, not necessarily how weak someone might be. There are myopathies due to inflammation, to chemical injury, inherited conditions, etc. Sometimes the person is very weak. Other times, not really weak.
