Son (22 mos) had ear tubes put in 2 weeks ago due to freq ear infections. every 3-4 days now, he has some bloody discharge in ear(s). is this normal?

Yes, usually: Not unusual to see this after bmt for recurrent ear infections. Most doctors prescribe ear drops after the tubes are placed , which usually helps clear up any post-operative bleeding, infection, or inflammation. You should still probably call your surgeon. There are other reasons for bleeding that should be evaluated.

Ear infection: If he continues to have ear drainage after the first few days after surgery, you should call his surgeon and they will likely prescribe antibiotic ear drops. This drainage is how an ear infection will present with tubes in place.
