Ear fluid: Fluid in the middle ear is not normal. If there is a hole in your ear drum, this is an abnormal communication between the outside world and your middle ear. Again, not normal. If there is persistent drainage, you should really see doctor specializing in ears, called an otolaryngologist or more specifically an otologist. You could have infection in the mastoid, the bone behind the ear drum.
