Not usually: Xyzal (levocetirizine) is a non-sedating antihistamine very similar to zyrtec (cetirizine). Most people tolerate this medication very well. If however, the symptoms started after taking xyzal and they resolve after stopping the xyzal then that would suggest side effects from the medication. There are many other medications for allergies to try.
