Yes: But I would doubt that the results would be that much different. Have you tried a nasal steroid? If nasal steroid also failed, consult an allergist.

Yes: These medications are compatible. I wonder if you have tried your combination on an as needed basis and if the sore throat is a result of postnasal drip? If so, you might benefit from more consistent therapy. Otherwise, sore throat is an atypical side effect from the medications and I would't expect a switch to desloratadine to result in a significant change.
