I ate some chocolate with almonds then my throat got itchy, it's been about 2 hours and it's still itchy but now my tongue is too but only a little bit, i don't have benadryl but can i take xyzal? i plan to get an allergy test asap. this is new to me?

Definitely take that allergy medication. Proceed to the hospital emergency room if throat swelling or respiratory distress develops. Avoid almonds and all tree nuts( google these) until you consult an allergist. Chocolate allergies are rare.

XYZAL is used to treat allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria . It is also god for running nose itchy nose or throat and sneezing. Benadryl is better for this type of reaction. A test for peanut allergy is needed asap. At 32 you must have eaten nuts at some time before but never had this reaction. You could be developing this allergic reaction at a later age?
