Are most breast abscess benign even in older women? i read it it is but rather get your advice. getting it ultrasound and biopsy soon. normal mammogram in july 2023. it popped up on her overnight pretty much ?

Yes, if the lesion is consistent with an abscess which is usually acute onset, localized tenderness and swelling with or without constitutional symptoms such as fever, fatigue, etc. However, inflammatory breast will be a different issue and biopsy is indeed indicated. Good luck.
