A 35-year-old female asked:
I had a biopsy of a complicated cyst in my breast and its benign. dr saw another cyst and says its probably benign, no evidence of malignancy. is six month follow-up ultrasound and mammogram standard after benign biopsy? what if i wait 12?

A "six month f/u" with a digital mammorgram at age 35 since the second cyst was not biopsied is appropriate, especially if breast cancer is present in your family history. Waiting until 12 months is also reasonably safe.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
