Just had a 14 day holter monitor due to having some palpitations. holter shows a run of ventricular tachycardia for 5 beats. the holter is labelled as normal. doctor said he is not concerned. is this not dangerous?

A run of 5 beat v. tach in 14 days is a benign finding and it is less likely the cause of your chest palpitation. If your cardiac work up did not reveal any underlying structural heart disease then you have nothing to concern. Good luck.

If a board certified doctor is not concerned I would not be concerned but would have it checked periodically with holter monitoring as you age especially if there is a history of heart disease in your family.
