I have had unbearable throat pain for over a week. im not unwell. it feels like some kind of swelling or injury and is gradually getting worse. i have a dr appt on monday but it is causing me lots of anxiety. anything i can do in the meantime?

If there is stomach or kidney problem, you can take ibuprofen OTC (advil, motrin, etc.) this weekend every 8 hours as needed for pain until you see your doctor on Monday. If you have breathing/swallowing problem or high fever besides the sore throat then you should visit an urgent care center. Good luck.
