One question. How many times have you had meningitis? Any leak that would let CSF fluid out would let germs in. Since most of these are to the sinus cavities around & above the nose, there are many germs there naturally. They will go anywhere they can. No infections? likely no leak, but you should discuss your concerns with your doc as soon as possible.

I seriously doubt the existence of intermittent "CSF leaks" occurring over 4 years. You do NOT mention any symptoms and thus it is not feasible to guess what problems you possess. Since you are likely pondering about your problems, why not see a neurologist and obtain a diagnosis?

I assume you've been experiencing "dripping of fluid" through nostril. If you do have CSF leak, you are at risk to develop bacterial meningitis, especially pneumococcal one. Before we had a luxury of CT scanning, measuring the glucose content of nasal dripping was helpful in identifying CSF. Consultation with ENT or neurosurgeon would be appropriate.
