Much more likely : that your chronic inflammation of the sinus has blocked drainage & caused mucus to be retained in your maxillary sinuses. Seek evaluation by an ENT specialist. This would not necessarily explain your unwanted weight loss, especially if the fluid is not chronically infected.

The described CAT scan findings are certainly consistent with your history of chronic sinusitis. Am perplexed why the concern of a CSF leak is raised. Do address your sinus issues with an experienced otolaryngologist...
