Yes: Pain relievers do not interfere with or conflict with the Amoxicillin or other similar antibiotics.

No problem: There is no problem with taking Acetaminophen or ibuprofen. As a matter of fact, the antibiotic will take a day or two to improve his infection so he very well will likely need pain relief in the mean time. If oral meds not enough, try numbing ear drops as well and/or warmth applied to ear.

Yes!: Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen as needed for pain relief are fine, in addition to the antibiotic.

yes: Amoxicillin has no interaction with Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen). It is safe to give him the age/weight appropriate dose.
