Is 500mg every 12 hours for a bad ear infection enough to take care of it? im on day 6 of 500mg every 12 hours of amoxicillin and my ears are still bothering me; though, not as bad?

As with many bacterial infections, a specific antibiotic may not be appropriate for certain resistant bacteria. See an ENT physician for an exam and repeat culture/sensitivity, as the initial antibiotic may not be as effective as necessary to eradicate this problem.
