A member asked:

I had an upper tooth removed 5 days ago, & theres a few white patches on the extraction site. am i good to start smoking/exercising again, or are there still risks of infection/dry socket?

Smoking after an extraction leads to a dry socket and much pain. You want the site to heal without complications and infection. Light exercise is good so as not to dissolve the clot. Wait till site heals, about two weeks, than maybe you can give up smoking by then.

You have asked this same question at least 3 times. The answers previously given are accurate. 1) Smoking will delay healing and will encourage dry socket formation. 2) No group of doctors will ever tell you that cancer causing smoking is ever a wise life's decision. To the contrary, smoking greatly increases your chances of an early death.
