Normal: A dry socket would be extremely painful. If you have post-op concerns call the Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon who did the extraction for a follow-up visit.

Wisdom tooth healing: There is a blood clot the is over the extraction site and this is part of the healing process. You do not have a dry socket. A dry socket happens when the blood clot is lost and this is a very painful condition. Follow the post op instructions given by the extracting dentist. If you have concerns about your healing please call them and they will answer your concerns and questions.
