My oncologist said he wanted me to get a ct with contrast and send films to him in nyc. but, i live full time in miami and the best area teaching hospital is ranked 48 in country for cancer. so, do i travel all way up to moffitt cancer center?

No, you do not need to travel far for a simple CT with IV contrast because most hospitals use the same CT scanner unless you live in a rural area. You can take the test at any urban or suburban community hospital then get the CD and send to your oncologist. Good luck.

Would suggest confirming with ordering oncologist, who will be likely to ok having the scans in Miami. There might be a reason for why he or she recommended them at a different center and that reason has to be reconciled.
