Need to look at it under a microscope. Hopefully not cancer, but if is is it was likely it has been caught early and can be cured. this is one reason that it is recommended you get it done at your age. Fingers crossed for you.

Sessile polyps are generally benign, but as has been mentioned, the pathology report is key& unless premalignant or actual malignant changes are mentioned, you have no worries. However, I recommend that you consult a colorectal surgeon at least to get advice about removal via colonoscopy or laporoscopic surgery.
