A member asked:

If a patient is considered at highrisk for cancer and is already under the care of an oncologist.should a low grade ct scan be recommended ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clarify: Something's not right here. If a person is under an oncologist's care, he/she almost certainly has a cancer diagnosis. If the quest is for a recurrence, whatever imaging modality seems most appropriate to the health care provider is in order. Most recurrences are seen easily enough on today's inexpensive computer-based imaging.
