In 2019 i got cohesive gel silicon breast implants. i was told to get an mri every 2-3 yrs. i am scared to do so plus it is costly. will an ultrasound reveal any tears or ruptures on the implant?

It might, but spontaneous tears or ruptures are unusual this soon and are not usually the reason the MRI is recommended. You need to clarify with your doctors why they are recommending this test.
