My lower left side is still hurting after being on nitrofur. macro 100mg for a couple of days now. the pain is unbearable, my doctor said i had a uti from the culture sample but ive never had this painful symptom from previous utis. what should i do?

You should be examined because an uncomplicated urinary bladder infection does not cause such severe pain. A stone stuck in the lower left ureter could. Diverticulitis or pelvic inflammation are possible. Notify your MD that you're in severe pain. Otherwise proceed to the emergency room where prompt evaluation & care are available.

If the pain is unbearable then you should go to the ER and get checked out for a possibility of another reason eg stone. Hope you feel better
