Is a ct the only or best way to diagnose colon injury after colonoscopy? i had a painful colonoscopy 3 days ago, and while i have no fever, nausea, or other telltale signs of injury, my abdomen still feels sore?

It is not usual to have pain and soreness three days after a colonoscopy, but it is not unheard of. It is not likely that you have a Coleman injury if you are improving. If your symptoms are not improving, however, contact your gastroenterologist. The best way to town would be a physical exam performed by the doctor. Good luck.

Abdominal x-ray showed colon thickening. Colonoscopy came back fine. No diverticulitis, etc. Could the X-ray have been wrong or what could have been seen on x-ray that colonoscopy missed? This was x-ray and not a CT. GI did not appear concerned?

Had 2 colonoscopies. One with some high grade dysplasia on small part of colon wall near liver but no cancer. Path asked 4 rpt. ihad low grade dysp. Path now wants a virtual CT. My gastro thinks its an over reach & 6 mt surveillance called 4. Thought?
