You should follow the gastroenterologist's advice. Pathologist only reads the biopsy result, does not have the authority of ordering test or making clinical decision. I hope Dr. Singh, the main pathologist of this forum, concurs with my opinion.

I got a colonoscopy done and the report says "Adenomatous polyp, polyp removed, with high grade dysplasia". polyp was 26mm. No history of colon cancer. What does this mean? What kind of questions/tests should I ask when I meet my gastroenterologist?
I did a CT scan came back negative for diverticulitis but showed a narrowing of the colon. 3cm. Other organs are ok. Does it mean I have colon cancer? I have no blood in stool but I had two episode of complete blockage with vomiting. Colonoscopy next
