Speak with GI: "tortuous colon" is not a disease. It is a description of your anatomy. If you have a distended abdomen and pain, it may be completely unrelated. You should speak with your gastroenterologist about this.

High fiber diet: The elongated colon may need help from a high fiber diet. Avoiding foods and medications that cause constipation is also important. Ask your doctor if there are other issues that may need to be addressed, as the tortuous colon may not be the explanation for your current complaints.
