This finding could be the result of an old pneumonia episode but can be caused by asbestos exposure, malignancy, old chest surgery. A pulmonologist would be best to evaluate& advise you.

CT-No masses, nodules, effusion or infiltrate. Evaluation of the lungs reveals mild nonspecific dependent changes posteriorly in the lower lobes with mild interlobular changes not excluded. What does that indicate? Does that mean pleural thickening?
45 yo F. Could having pneumonia once when I was a child (8/9 yo) have caused 2 separate foci of pleural thickening right lower lobe seen on CT I just had done in Feb? I also had mild Covid this past Nov. PCP is not concerned at this time?
Seen in current CT of chest, previous CT in Sept 2022 these were not seen: Pleural based oval shaped nodular density 8.6 mm in right lower lobe. An 8 pleural based nodular density posteriorly in left lower lobe 4.4 mm. Is this concerning?
