Ct- lower thorax: no concerning bone consolidation. no pleural effusion. 2 separate foci of pleural thickening along the dependent portion of the right lower lobe. is this pleural thickening concerning?

it is concerning enough to see your doctor that ordered it and consider seeing a pulmonologist to rule out causes. Yo may also ask for a second opinion on the reading.

This finding could be the result of an old pneumonia episode but can be caused by asbestos exposure, malignancy, old chest surgery. A pulmonologist would be best to evaluate& advise you.
