I have mild left loculated pleural effusion detected in chest usg, but in chest ct it is revealed that pleural thickening and no other abnormalities found . please suggest which one is more accurate? in either case is there something tht i shd worry?

Amount: Mild effusions with minimal or no symptoms and no fever, usually require no drainage. An antibiotic may be indicated. You may upload the images during a virtual consult with HT for review.The HRCT is quite accurate and the US is also useful.

Pleural findings: Chest Ct is more accurate for this. You should consider any exposure to asbestos and any other occupational exposure to chemicals. Would recommend being monitored by serial CT scans. Also consider seeing a lung specialist.
