Most fish oil products may increase LDL cholesterol but lower triglycerides. In general, taking MVI or not does not provide any extra health benefits with a typical American diet. For people with selected vitamin deficiency, e.g. low B12 because of vegetarian diet or vitamin D deficiency in dark skin people, taking just vitamin B-12 or D should be done instead of taking MVI.
