Yes, it is a large cyst but if radiologist classifies it as bosniak II category, there is nothing to concern. To be on the safe side, a repeat US can be done within a year for any change.

Hi doctors. I had a renal mesenteric ultrasound. The sonographer reported one complex cyst lower pole with septation 4.7 cm x 5.2 cm. Does the fact that the word septation was used in the singular mean there was only one? What do the cm numbers mean?
