Had abd ct/urogram on tues for a follow up of a simple kidney cyst on repeat ultrasounds. ct showed right upper pole cyst measuring 3.2 2.3 cm right renal simple cyst (bosniak category one). is this concerning? will i need follow up?

A Bosniak Category 1 cyst is ty[ically not cancerous and so does not need follow-up. However, there was a physician who ordered the CT scan/Urogram and you should follow-up with that physician and discuss what follow-up is necessary. What you are reporting to me may not be all that is seen in your scans.

A simple cyst of the kidney is what you have without evidence of cancer and may require follow-up periodically at the discretion of your urologist
