A 63-year-old male asked:
Hi doctors. i had a renal mesenteric ultrasound. the sonographer reported one complex cyst lower pole with septation 4.7 cm x 5.2 cm. does the fact that the word septation was used in the singular mean there was only one? what do the cm numbers mean?

Probably. cm =centimeters. Discuss with Dr who ordered test and has seen you and results.
