A member asked:

Very good morning doctors. could a renal kidney mesenteric ultrasound rule in or rule out possible renal kidney multiple myeloma or possible renal kidney amloydisis? could a renal regular renal ultrasound (that is not mesenteric) reveal any of these?

You can't diagnose multiple myeloma or renal amyloidosis by the ultrasound, regardless what technique you use. These conditions are diagnosed by blood and urine tests, bone marrow biopsy +/- kidney biopsy. Ultrasound may reveal the suspicious findings but not the diagnosis. Take care.
