So sorry to hear that he is sick. Unfortunately, vaccination does not prevent this disease, but it does lessen the risk for hospitalization. It typically lasts 5-7 days. Keeping him hydrated is vital. Use non caffeinated fluids and electrolyte containing drinks. (small sips every 10 minutes helps keep it down) Acetaminophen for fever/headache/body aches.
