At your age, lung problem from AAT deficiency has not shown but you have definitely higher risk of respiratory compromise than a normal counterpart when you are infected with Covid-19. Full vaccination does help and you are a candidate for antiviral therapy with Paxlovid or Molnupiravir if infected you are consider a high risk case even you are still young.

Replacement therapy is available for your AAT deficiency. Do you know whether it is a milder form of the illness based on testing. There is an evaluation for serum level, functional assays and genotyping available. The AAT deficiency foundation of the ATS.org is a good source of patient support. If you have been vaccinated, this will offer protection against complications of COVID 19.
