COVID 19 is still in the community and since children under the age of 5 years old are not as yet fully vaccinated, they have a higher chance of acquiring the infection. Home screening tests are available and on the day of a visit may be used. If you have any symptoms, avoid contact with others and have a screening test. Wearing a mask, social distancing and hand washing/sanitizers are advisable.

Covid is present now and will circle the globe for years to come. The risk benefits of vaccinating young children are not enough for me to recommend them to any kid under 12, and I don't. The vaccines neither prevent covid or prevent someone from spreading it to others. Where I live the daily covid peak death rate dropped from 120+ in 2021 to 108 in 2022 and now stands at 10.
