A member asked:

My daughter is having her covid vaccine today but she doesn't have her 11 year old shots yet. can she still have the covid shot? i don't want to put all of them together, just trying to figure out if she can still get vaccinated against covid?

Why not together? When she was an infant she sucked on her fingers occasionally like they all do. In the process she exposed her mouth & throat to dozens of germs from those fingers. Estimates cites 100+ immune challenges/d in infancy. The idea of too much immune challenge was popularized by a playboy playmate with an autistic kid. I place no value in such myths, playmate or not.

Discuss an alternative schedule with your physician. All of her vaccinations at this age are important, but the schedule may be divided. A virtual consult with Healthtap is available to review.
