Thank you and we also wish you have a Merry Christmas. Proteinuria 1+ by dipstick doesn't mean you have significant proteinuria. Urine albumin/creat result is more important. If you do not have diabetes mellitus and no evidence of blood in urine (hematuria), the treatment will be focus on blood pressure control (less than 120/80) with ACEi or ARB drug is the mainstay of treatment.

Merry Christmas. The cause of these findings in urine has to be found by doing further investigations- preferably by a nephrologist-and there is a great chance it can be managed. Good luck
