Very good evening doctors. how is uacr 62 with proteinuria 1+ typically treated? egfr is 62. bun is 21. i am already taking 2 medications for high blood pressure--losartan 100mg and metoprolol er 100mg?

I assume you have hypertension only, not with type 2 diabetes mellitus or a proven glomerulonephritis. Microalbuminuria of 62 due to hypertensive nephropathy is not bad so you should not concern much, provided your BP has been under control, i.e. less than 130/80 most of the time. If BP is not optimal, switch Losartan to Telmisartan may help.

If your lab uses units our lab does a urine albumin to creatinine ratio over 30 is abnormally high. The next step is to measure a 24 urine collection to determine the total protein. If over 150 mgs, glomerular damage to of kidneys from long-standing hypertension or diabetes may be present. Also immunofixation studies of the protein in the urine is done to check for multiple myeloma or AL amyloidos
