Blood pressure medications should be titrated by your doctor keeping in mind the anxiety. Episode of anxiety can cause temporary dramatic spike in BP. If anxiety is contributing to hypertension, it can be treated independently. BP should have same goals of control and treatment plan should be discussed with the patient. A consensus is usually reached. Hope it helps.
