My doctor switched me from losartan 100mg to losartanhctz 100mg. i am concerned about taking a diuretic water pill. will i experience any physical or physiological changes as a result of taking the water pill? i am also on metoprolol er 100mg?

Taking LosartanHctz will make you go to the bathroom a little more in the morning, other than that there will be no significant physical change. Hctz 25 mg is less likely having significant impact on uric acid and triglyceride levels. Your serum creatinine will be slightly higher than the baseline (probably 5-10% higher) but that is physiologically expected. Controlled BP has long term benefits.
