What can i take to lower my blood pressure during panic attacks? my normal bp is under 120/80 at rest but it can get to 180/90 during a panic attack. i don't remember my bp ever getting that high during a panic attack. i'm on 40mg valsartan?

Valsartan not likely to help. Keep diary to see if you can figure out what triggers anxiety attacks. I would ask about beta blockers and go to TM.org to see if meditation will help.

Currently on Valsartan 40mg. My blood pressure usually goes up to 160/100 when I'm anxious, but is 110-118/64-74 when relaxed. Can I increase the dose to 160mg or 320mg to lower the maximum bp or does it only work on baseline bp at rest?
