Heart rate has been in the 110-125 at rest today. i do believe i have a cold, negative covid test, but my resting heart rate is usually 60-70s. is this normal?

If taking and cold meds read label to see if they can cause increased heart rate. Best to count your pulse at wrist.

Increased heart rate is a vital sign expected to high when there’s an infection like the flu or COVID-19, or extreme pain or anxiety. It is typically seen with an elevated temperature and higher blood pressure as well. Heart rate over 200 bpm and associated with symptoms such as chest pain and dizziness is alarming and requires an ER visit.
