I have an app on my phone to test my resting heartrate and general heart rate. today its been really high, the resting heartrate is 100 and general heart rate was 80. my question is what is a normal heart rate resting and general ?

Normal heart rate: Is anywhere between 60 and 100 bpm, but circumstances matter as well as accuracy of measurement. Checking heart rate and collecting data with no clear goals may create anxiety. An easy thing to do would be to check your radial pulse and compare with the rate reported by the app. Resting heart rate is usually lower and that is why I suspect your app may be misreporting.
