A member asked:

Causes of heart racing? normal resting 70-80. today it was 115-130 for about 3 hours. rest, water brought down to 85-95. no chest pain. achy, tired, congested (flu-like). no fever. breakthrough covid? can infection without fever cause increased hr?

I think a heart rate of 130 is not a simple cardiac response to a minor upper respiratory tract infection without fever unless you took heavy doses of a decongestant or instilled too much decongestant nasal spray. Should you have recurrent bouts of such rapid heart rates you will need a cardiac ( EKG, heart monitir) & thyroid workup.
