Have a chronic irritation on side of tongue from tooth digging in. had tooth file down, but did not help. i asked dentist to make it blunt and round as possible but he didnt. could putting some bonding temporarily to make tooth edge less sharp help?

Bonding will not solve your issue. Have your dentist round off the offending cusp as you suggested.

Go back to your dentist and touch area on tooth that feels irritated while the dentist sees it also. Now that area on the tooth can be smoothed over for a better result. Bonding will only be temporary and not lasting.
