Don't be worried. Teeth can become sensitive after having a restoration placed. Without knowing which tooth, the extent of the fracture, and the size of the restoration, the best course of action is for you to discuss with your dentist for a more thorough explanation and re-evaluation.

Please return to your treating Dentist for reevaluation. Sometimes if a tooth is traumatized (chip), and later retraumatized (filling),the nerve is affected. The filling may babe chipped, separated, failing. The nerve of the tooth may be affected. Your Dentist will have to reevaluate.
