Experiencing mild nausea with valsartan 40mg. i take at bedtime and feel it next day. is this a side effect of the medication? dr. run blood tests + urine, said i have mild cholesterol. suggested irbesartan but doesn't know the cause?

Nausea is listed as an uncommon side effect of valsartan by drugs.com but it is a more common side effect of irbesartan so I suggest you continue with valsartan and likely you will develop tolerance or you can take it with breakfast as a trial. Mildly high cholesterol has nothing to do with your symptom. You should reduce foods with high cholesterol.
