Since irbesartan has a half life of 11-15 hours and valsartan is 6 hours, does the blood pressure lowering effect last longer with a single dose or is the half life inconsequential?

Half life of 6 hours is long enough for one a day dose after you have used it for 2 weeks and at that time the 24 hour drug level is strong enough for 24 hour blood pressure control. For a medication with a longer half life, the medication will last longer after you stop it.
